The OCC is recognised as an official Championship by SASAPD.
For official SA Championship time recognition the following requirements are essential:
1. An athlete must be classified and must indicate classification on entry form.
2. Entry of Athlete must be done through the region/province.
3. Proof of one qualifying marathon / half marathon (as per SASAPD event list).
4. Athlete must compete in regional colours.
5. Indication of official computer number on entry form compulsory.

1. A person can enter the race (any distance) if he/she is PHYSICALLY DISABLED.
2. A person can not enter the race (any distance) if he/she is only INTELLECTUALLY IMPAIRED.
3. A person can enter the race (any distance) if he/she is physicallyandintellectually impaired.
4. A physically disabled person does not need to be a full-time wheelchair user to enter the race, the disabled person using crutches, callipers, prostheses or who can walk may enter the race.
5. All athletes MUST use a wheelchair for the race. If the person is not a full time wheelchair user, he/she MUST bring a wheelchair to use in the race.
6. The criteria to enter is PHYSICALLY DISABLED in any form.
7. A full-time wheelchair user uses his/her own wheelchair or a racing wheelchair, hand cycle, rugby-, basketball- or tennis wheelchair.
8. This is a WHEELCHAIR RACE, not a walking race for athletes. That is why we only allow wheelchairs and all athletes must use WHEELCHAIRS to take part in the race, unless permission is obtained from the race organisers.

10. If an athlete comes to George and he/she is disabled and wants to enter the race without a wheelchair, WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT unless permission is obtained from the race organisers.
11. Junior is under 20. 20 Years and one day is Senior.
